I’m a designer based in New York and I love working closely with folks to make technology more human and accessible.
Early on in my career I recognized the power of tools in making people’s lives easier. I started in building advertising solutions for local businesses at Nextdoor, then working in data visualization at Goldman Sachs and am now building tooling for climate scientists at Planet Labs. I love exploring new problem spaces and using design thinking to focus on what really matters to people.
I’m from Vancouver, Canada and spent time in the Bay Area and now based in the East Coast. I’m deeply grateful for my lived experience in shaping my perspective of the world. As a queer and first generation immigrant, I try my best to be aware of my privilege and using it to help lift others and build community. Recently, I spent a year leading Planet’s LGBTQIA+ employee resource group and volunteering as a mentor with Out in Tech.
Outside of work, I love being outdoors, electronic music and being obsessive about interior design (check it out @huwangcassa).
